The disturbing disappearance of Nicholas Patrick Barclay from Texas and the imposter

disappearance of Nicholas Patrick Barclay from Texas

Nicholas Patrick Barclay disappeared June 13, 1994, San Antonio , Texas.

Revised April 2024

Nicholas “Nick” Barclay, 13, was from San Antonio, Texas. He was last seen playing basketball with friends on June 13, 1994, in Fort Sam Houston (Fort Sam).

He tried to call his mother, Beverly Dollarhide, at home to pick him up after the game, but she was asleep as she worked the graveyard shift at a local store, and his older brother, Jason, didn’t want to wake her up. Jason told Nick to walk home and was never seen again. Three years later, a call from a man in Spain threw everything up in the air.

What followed was a bizarre story about an imposter named Frédéric Pierre Bourdin that seemed so crazy it would almost seem out of a whacky B movie.

Thiry years later, Nick remains missing, and his disappearance remains a mystery. This is a truly strange story from Texas.
