The A616 Stocksbridge Bypass in South Yorkshire, Northern England, is reputed to be the U.K.’s most haunted road. Eerie apparitions of monks and children have been sighted along its path, casting a spectral pall over the asphalt. Since the bypass opened, over 25 lives have been tragically claimed in car accidents. While some attribute these fatalities to reckless driving at high speeds, others whisper of a more sinister force—something or someone causing fatal distractions, leading to devastating head-on collisions under cover of night.
